International Journal of Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine (IJEAM) is a bimonthly International peer-reviewed journal and invites original Mini-reviews, Short communication, tutorials, original research articles and review articles from researchers in all branches of science, biosciences and allied bio-sciences.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES / Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

1. Double Column text, except wherever a large figure has to be formatted as a single column. Except otherwise specified, manuscript text will conform to Times New Roman 12, single line-spacing
2. Title: Times New Roman 14, Bold, Upper case (Centered)
3. Names of Author(s): Times New Roman 12, Normal, Upper case (Centered). Corresponding author to be indicated by an asterisk.
4. Author affiliation (Times New Roman 12, Normal face, Lower case, single column Centered) needs to be given below author names in order of appearance. Relation between author listing and affiliation needs to be indicated as superscripted numbers to the right of name in author listing and to the left in affiliation.
5. Abstract: Times New Roman 12, Justified, not more than 300 words.
6. Keywords: at least 4 keywords
7. Subsection title: Times New Roman 12 Small Caps with 4 pt spacing after the subsection title (paragraph formatting) left aligned
8. New Subsection text begins with 4 pt spacing before the text (paragraph formatting)
9. Reference citations should be given in ascending order of their appearance on the manuscript
10. Tables need to have title above the table and figures need to have title below the figure. (Times New Roman 10). Each table and figure should be accompanied by a legend below it. (Times New Roman 8).

Figures should be in .jpeg or .tiff format

It is recommended that the number of illustrations be limited to the essential. Graphs and bar graphs should preferably be prepared using Microsoft Excel and submitted as Excel graph pasted in Word. All illustrations should be referred to as figures and numbered in Arabic numerals (Fig. 1, 2, etc.)

1. Equations need to left aligned and equation numbers should be right aligned with Arabic numeral numbering. Drawings of chemical structures should as far as possible be produced with the use of a drawing program such as Chem Draw.
2. The use of the International System of Units (SI) is recommended.
3. Structural chemical formulas, process flow diagrams and complicated mathematical expressions should be very clearly presented. All subscripts, superscripts, Greek letters and unusual characters must be identified. Structural chemical formulas and process flow diagrams should be prepared in the same way as graphs.
4. References (Times New Roman 10) should be listed as per the following format:

Articles in Journals

Format: Author(s) (surname initials), Title of article, Name of journal, Year; Vol(issue):page no.

Books and Other Monographs

Format: Author(s) of chapter (surname initials), Title of chapter, In: Editor(s) name, editors, Title of book, Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication, page numbers.

Government publication/Corporate author

Indian Pharmacopoeia, Vol. 2, Govt. of India, Controller of Publications, New Delhi, 1996, A-100.

Website

Format: Author/editor (surname initials), Title [online], Year [cited year month day], Available from: URL: World Wide Web page.

15. Acknowledgements where required should be given. Receipt of funding for research should be specified. Any queries regarding manuscript formatting may be addressed to the Editor.

Ethical principles for medical research involving human or animal subjects

If appropriate Ethics Committee Approvals are required, then the authors should obtain necessary approvals, and submit a copy as last page in the manuscript. If Institutional Ethics Committees are not available or present, then recognized Local Ethics Committee approvals need to be submitted. Informed Consent (wherever required) need to be presented as scanned copy. The authenticity of the submitted Ethics Committee Approval or Informed Consent rests with the Author(s). Conflicts of interest must be declared by authors upon submission of the manuscript.

SUBMISSION AND PROCESSING OF MANUSCRIPT

Publishing of articles is subject to selection and approval by Editorial members after rigorous peer-review. Manuscripts submitted via email along with copyright and authorization forms (MANDATORY) will only be considered for publication (download copyright and authorization form here). No other means of paper submission is allowed. Also, undertaking statement of the animal study conduction in accordance of the relevant ethical committee (if applicable) should be sent to [email protected]. Authors are requested to check the quality of their manuscript through anti-plagiarism software available online. Galley proofs of the selected/ approved manuscripts will be sent to corresponding author’s mail. Authors may submit the articles only to [email protected].

Authors are advised to submit the articles with the copyright and registration forms duly signed, scanned and attached.

Formatted Manuscripts may be sent by email in MS-Word form to the Editor at [email protected].

Paper acceptance

Final decision on acceptance of the paper is with the editorial team and promotion in any form will disqualify even qualified papers. Selected papers will be put in queue for publication. Once the article is published, author will get a confirmation mail from the corresponding editor. Provisional pdf will be uploaded in the journal page. The provisional pdf status will be removed only after receiving duly filled registration and copyright transfer forms. In no case articles having more than 5 authors will be considered unless justification is provided for the work done by the concerned authors in the research done. Review articles are permitted only with 2 authors, if more than 2 authors had completed a review work which is submitted for publication they are requested to submit a detailed report about the contribution of each author in the review work.

Publishing method

All articles accepted for publication will be published only online, as the journal is an online journal. Authors are free to download their papers at any time; no reprints or any other format of accepted article will be provided. Initially provisional pdf will be uploaded in the journal pages, which will be converted as full paper upon receipt of registration and copyright forms duly filled and signed.

Author Biography

Authors now have the option to publish a biography together with the paper, with information such as qualification, past and present positions, research interests, awards, etc. This increases the profile of the authors and is well received by international readers. Author biography can be added to the end of paper, in a section heading "Author biography".

REVIEW

Reviews will be highly professional and objective, maintaining rigorous peer review process. Each article will be subjected to a minimum of two reviews by two individual reviewers. If their decision varies the article will be sent to a third reviewer and the editors’ decision is final. Reviewers will be insisted to review the paper within 15 days time and if he/ she fail to do so, the manuscript will be sent to other reviewers for review. All authors are requested to provide at least three reviewers who can review their paper to speed up the process along with the copyright form.

The review process includes the following points of concern.

• Useful suggestion for improvement of the manuscript and research.
• Suggestion for acceptance, revision or rejection. If an author appeals against a Review Decision, the author needs to communicate to the Editors, which will be forwarded to the Reviewer for reconsideration on the grounds presented by the Authors.
• Suspected misconduct by authors will be notified to the Editors in confidence and will not be shared with others

  International Journal of Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine (IJEAM) is a quarterly International peer-reviewed journal and invites original Mini-reviews, Short communication, tutorials, original research articles and review articles from researchers in all branches of Engineering, Agriculture and Medical sciences. IJEAM is self-supported and depends on support from the authors and other sources both financially and in promotion. The aim of this journal is to provide an online open platform for publishing papers. In spite of this noble intention, we solicit support from authors and any other sources, in the form of a nominal Registration fee that can be utilized for the operations of our journal such as hosting charges, domain management expense, editorial expenses, internet bandwidth charges, copy editing charges, etc. In this regard we request authors and fellow researchers to share the expenses in the form of registration fee and keep this platform free-of-cost to fellow researchers.

  Registration fee

  We charge a nominal fee of Rs 2000/- (Indian authors) or US$60 (Foreign authors) as a part of registration fee per paper. The registration form can be downloaded here.

  Fee for the above can be paid by either direct account transfer or through draft/ cheque, for which the details will be mailed after acceptance of manuscript.

  Foreign authors can send the amount via Western Union Money transfer/ Wire transfer.

   

  CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION

   As a special gesture and a token of gratitude for the contribution to development of science and also publishing with us, a CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION will be issued to the authors upon request, subject to terms and conditions.The Issue of Certificate of Appreciation would cost Rs. 300 or US $10 per author.
